It was an incredible honor for the Osterville Village Library to host the Centerville–Osterville–Marstons Mills Fire Department’s 100th Anniversary celebration. The event itself was a moving tribute to a century of courage, commitment, and selfless service. Chief Patrick Hill’s heartfelt reflections brought the department’s history to life as he honored the firefighters, officers, volunteers, and families whose dedication established the proud legacy that continues today. It was a privilege to witness our community come together to recognize those who have given so much to keep us safe.
Beyond the ceremony, the library was filled with families exploring historic artifacts, photographs, memorabilia, and beautifully restored antique fire trucks that sparked conversations across generations. There were smiles, stories, and countless photo opportunities as people reflected on the department’s remarkable history while creating new memories together. It was a truly special day that celebrated not only 100 years of service, but also the enduring partnership between the fire department and the community it has faithfully protected for a century.
